Sunday School
Many people define the purpose of Sunday Morning Bible Study (Sunday School) as a place to study the Bible. This definition is not incorrect it is incomplete. Dahlonega Baptist Church feels that the Biblical and historical purpose of Sunday School cannot be accomplished by passively studying the Bible, there must also be an engaging of class members to fulfill the Great Commission Matthew 28:19-20a, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you..."
The goal of our Sunday School, from Toddlers to Senior Adults is to provide an environment of fellowship, leadership and personal spiritual growth which will equip each person to participate in the fulfilling of this Great Commission.
Literature for children is from Southern Baptist endorsed Lifeway as well other related literature selected by our Children's Minister. For the children's safety, each class room is secured with protected entrances and a sign in/sign out procedure.
Literature for Adults is also from Lifeway as well as selected books by Christian authors mutually selected by the class leader and class members.
